This Privacy Policy applies to persons who rent any products or services from TakniX through any rental channel (including the website, mobile site, telephone orders and offline channels). It also applies to persons who visit TakniX's offices. As a user or customer of TakniX, you agree to this privacy policy and the terms and conditions mentioned herein.

When browsing our Website, you are not required to provide any personal information unless and until you choose to place a rental order or sign up for one of our email updates or other services described below.

2Collection of Personal Information

To avail of rental services, you may have to sign up by providing personal information such as your email address, name, phone number and address. Some of this is personally sensitive information (“Personal Information”) collected for identity verification, credit underwriting, risk assessment and legal compliance.

We use your contact information (including your phone number and/or WhatsApp number) to send order updates, invoices, delivery status and promotional communications based on your rental preferences, including via WhatsApp, SMS, email or calls.

In general, you can browse the Website without revealing any personal information. Our servers automatically record certain technical telemetry when you access the platform — domain and host information, IP addresses, browser types, operating systems and access timestamps — to ensure system security and prevent automated fraud.

If you post messages in support chats or message areas, or leave feedback, we collect and retain the submitted information as necessary to resolve disputes, provide technical support and troubleshoot issues as permitted by law. If you send personal correspondence, or third parties send records regarding your activities on the Website, we may compile such information into a file specific to your account.

3Use of Cookies

TakniX uses cookies to improve browsing efficiency, maintain login sessions and personalise your experience on our rental platform.

No personally identifiable information (such as your full name or financial records) is stored in the cookies placed by the Website, and no cookie data is sold to external parties.

4Payment Gateway

Information relating to electronic transactions entered into via the Website is protected using standard end-to-end encryption technology. We partner with secure, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways (currently Cashfree Payments).

The Website does not intercept, store or interfere with sensitive payment credentials such as card CVVs, PINs or net banking passwords. Your transaction and banking credentials are handled directly by the payment gateway partner.

By initiating a payment, you acknowledge that payment gateways operate under their own independent terms and privacy policies.

5Account Deletion

If you would like to permanently delete your account, please write to us at support@taknix.com with the subject line “Delete my account”, along with your registered mobile number. Because your account is linked to your registered mobile number, our team will verify the request with the account holder before completing the deletion.

Once verified — and provided there are no active rentals, unreturned hardware or outstanding dues — we permanently delete or irreversibly anonymise the personal data linked to your account, including your profile, saved delivery addresses, support history and analytics identifiers.

Once processed, account data cannot be restored.

Certain records are retained even after account deletion, strictly to comply with Indian statutory obligations and never for marketing:

  • Completed rental invoices and payment records, for GST and tax audit compliance
  • Security deposit and refund reconciliation logs
  • Documentation tied to unresolved disputes, loss investigations or fraud reviews
