1Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, registering, or transacting on this website (the “Website”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Website or place rental orders for any products or services.

2Nature of Rental & Ownership

  • Usage rights: placing an order grants the customer temporary usage rights to the rented product for the agreed duration.
  • Ownership: all products remain the absolute property of TakniX Solutions. Renting does not confer any ownership, equity, or transfer of title to the customer.
  • Prohibition of pledging & sub-leasing: rented items cannot be sold, mortgaged, pledged, sub-rented, or relocated to an unapproved address. Any attempt to do so is treated as an unlawful violation and a breach of contract.

3Rental Tenure & Lock-In Period

  • Contract duration: the rental period begins on the day of delivery and ends on the scheduled return date shown on the invoice / order confirmation.
  • B2C minimum lock-in: standard retail rentals are subject to a minimum tenure of 3 months, unless a short-term custom plan is explicitly chosen.
  • B2B minimum lock-in: commercial corporate rentals carry a minimum lock-in period of 3 to 12 months.
  • Early returns: returning items before the end of the minimum lock-in period does not waive rental dues. The customer remains liable for the remaining rental charges of the lock-in period.

4Billing, Payments & Late Fees

  • Advance billing: rental charges are billed in advance at the start of each billing cycle.
  • Payment due date: recurring payments must be cleared within 7 days of invoice issuance via approved electronic payment methods (net banking, UPI, cards or bank transfer).
  • Late payment fee: a late fee of 10% of the base rental amount is applied automatically to any payment made after the due date, plus applicable interest until the balance is cleared.

5Delivery & Return Inspection

  • Delivery window: delivery personnel will wait up to 15 minutes at the delivery address. If no recipient is available, delivery is rescheduled and a re-attempt fee applies.
  • 2-hour reporting window: customers must inspect the product immediately on delivery. Any visible defects, functional issues or damage must be reported to TakniX within 2 hours of delivery. Failure to report within this window confirms the product was delivered in fully functional, defect-free condition.
  • Returns: pickups are scheduled at the end of the rental period. Products must be packed and ready in their original delivered condition.

6Damage, Loss & Theft

  • Repairable damage: customers are liable for the actual OEM repair / replacement costs plus a standard ₹300 logistics and handling fee.
  • Irreparable damage / loss / theft: the customer is liable for 100% of the current replacement cost of the product.
  • Theft incident reporting: in case of loss or theft, a formal police report (FIR) must be registered within 24 hours and submitted to TakniX. Filing a report does not discharge financial liability for the replacement cost.
Accidental damage may be covered if you opted in to TakniX Care. Full details are in our Damage Policy.

  • Data sanitisation on return: customers must back up personal / corporate data and log out of all accounts before returning equipment. TakniX runs automated data-wipe protocols on all returned systems.

9Default & Remote Device Management

  • Events of default: a customer is in default upon non-payment exceeding 15 days, submission of false documents, unapproved equipment tampering or opening, or failure to return products upon rental expiry.
  • Remote lock: in the event of non-payment, default, or suspected theft/fraud, TakniX reserves the right to remotely lock or restrict hardware functionality via device management controls.
  • Asset repossession & legal action: possessory rights are revoked upon default, permitting physical recovery of the device and legal action under civil and criminal laws, including Section 138 for dishonoured cheques.
